Looking back at your "Sequence of events" I think I can see how you got off on the wrong track. You say that I came here "right in the middle of 'issues' about stealing/copying drawings." Not surprisingly, that is not difficult to do. Looking back at some drawings and comments and petitions from months ago, I see that there is never a time when that is NOT an "issue" here. I just happened to get caught in the middle of one such "discussion" that involved you. Boy, was I unlucky.

Then, I happened to see the drawing by smws which I thought was funny, and I took the title which was "steal what I stole I dare ya" as an invitation to do just that, so I did. At the time, you had not even commented on it so there was no way I could have known about your feelings about it. Then, later, after smws explained it "wasn't meant to be commentary on events" I did not see how you could take offense at my alteration of it, which was neither targeted at you nor a commentary on the events involving you. I made two subsequent revisions of that drawing, the last of which had the "thief" in the drawing crying over not getting away with anything. Hardly could that be construed as an attack on you, but you did somehow.

The alteration I made of your "Rainbow Kaleidoscope" (and I DID alter it, not just copy it, as you seemed to assume) was done BEFORE I remixed the one from smws. I did not like what I did with it, so I deleted it before anyone had a chance to view it. If I could have removed the message from your message box that informed you I had made a drawing from it, I would have done so to spare your feelings, but that is not possible, as far as I can tell.

After all that, when things had calmed down a bit, I attempted to make a drawing from your Rainbow Kaleidoscope which I felt would meet your approval. Since you had started out responding to me based on a false assumption that I was someone else that you knew and had had words with in the past, I thought once you realized your mistake that we could be friends. You have a lot of talent, and I admire many of your drawings. I hope to be able to create my own art someday. Now, I guess all this is moot, but at least you can make a better judgment about the events knowing that nothing I did was intended to make a statement to you. I am sorry you took it that way.

I have no argument with you except that you have a very wild imagination. I never involved you or targeted you for anything. I saw the draw you did that I thought I could do something with and when I did not like what I did with it I deleted it. Why you would take that as a personal attack is beyond me.

I took the drawing by smws which was an alteration of one by larvice which invited other artists to take it and run with it. I did that. I changed the drawing significantly every time I posted it, but did you take the time to really look at it and see all the details I changed? If you did, then you have nothing to complain about. smws even said the drawing was not aimed at you and it is still posted, so what's the problem? Only your imagination combined with your (apparent) paranoia. I still don't know what opinion of mine may be different from yours. I have not stated any opinions that I know of with which you may disagree. I do not draw here under my real name. Who does? Very few. So what's your problem about me using the name xBanditx? You seem to think you know so much. You know NOTHING about me and you never will. I did not pick this fight...you did. Now, please leave me alone and I will do you the same courtesy.

Sequence of events:
1. You register here with a new name right in the middle of "issues" about stealing/copying drawings. What a coincidence.

2. You take SmWs drawing about the art thief, a drawing that i had made VERY clear in writing was very hurtful to me (due to the timing, even SMWS admitted that it did APPEAR to be aimed directly at me and it was not a "nice" drawing, sarcasm dripping from every line) and you post it 3 or 4 times, not ONCE but 3 or 4 times and each time you put a more awful title on it. Now why did oyu do that? Was posting it once not enough...assuming you were not TRYING to hurt or make anyone mad? You posted it REPEATEDLY.

3. Then just COINCIDENTLY of all the tens of thousands of pictures on SketchFu, suddenly RIGHT at that very same time as you were posting SmWs drawings repeatedly, you suddenly have a burning desire to remix MY drawing. The VERY drawing that I was upset about because in MY opinion someone had taken it as opposed to remixing it.

Therefore, it would seem clear to me that based on the FACTS of the matter, based on what YOU actually did and the timing of what you actually did, you WERE making a STATEMENT directly TO ME.

There are easier ways to do that. More polite ways too then being afraid to state your own opinion as yourself. I do not believe that you are a "new" member. I believe you are an old member who thought it would be funny or something to do what you have done. Well, I have not felt any of this was funny. That is MY perogative. And based on what you did above, that is, INVOLVE ME by using MY drawing to remix at the very moment the discussion was going on, it also insured that I probably would see your gallery because I would want to see how you had used my drawing and then I would see your triple posting of smws drawing.

I might have an opinion you disagree with. I am PERFECTLY OK WITH THAT.

I can SEE your side and smws side and Larvices side and everyone who does not agree with me side. I agree my feelings on the matter ARE DUMB. No arguement there!!! I am stating tho, they are MY feelings, I own them and while you may disagree with my feelings it does not matter. I feel what I feel and I RESPECT what I feel. I can respect YOUR feelings and YOUR opinion on the matter but not if you cannot stand up like a man or woman and just state them clearly as I did, as opposed to going thru this whole ruse which (see numbers 1-3 above) was designed to involve me! At least Larvice and SMSW had the courage to say what they had to say under their own names. As did I.

I am not paranoid nor egocentric. I have PROOF of what you were doing even if you have deleted some of the drawings. Nor am I STUPID and unable to see what you were doing. Why you reached out with an apology and a let's be friends is completely beyond me. I never said a WORD aobut you "stealing" my drawing. I liked the REMIX you did, it made thedrawing more beautiful and interesting. my anger is over being DIRECTLY MOCKED, not over your use of the drawing.

That is as CLEAR as I can possibly be.
The other reasonthat I do not want to be friends is because you are a SECOND name to a regular here. Approach me under your REAL name and I will be HAPPY to mend any fences, but not with a fake identity.

Well, since this person does not want me to contact her, I will just say this here. I still do not know what I did wrong. If she thinks I am playing games with her, she is wrong. I have never expressed an opinion to her, so I have no idea what opinion of hers differs from mine. I have never attacked her. I have only been cordial to her until she attacked ME on MY profile, and then I merely said, in effect, ok, no problem, I won't bother you any more. So she evidently thinks I am someone who disagrees with her opinion. So what. Lots of people have different opinions and are still able to be friendly with each other. I did not draw her into a debate. I did absolutely NOTHING to provoke her. She evidently ASSUMED my actions were in some way attacking her. I even took down any drawing I thought she might find offensive and she ASSUMES that I did so to "play games" with her. Would somebody who knows her please tell me what her problem is? Never mind, I don't want to know. It does not concern me anyway, according to her, even though she has made it my business by being quite rude to me in public. I don't have time for such foolishness. I thought she and I could be friends, but I guess that will be impossible. If anyone else doesn't want me to add them as friends, please tell me now. You have removed some drawings that were very rude and directed right at me. I do not care who you are. I am not impressed with you either. You have been cruel and made fun of me and are still playing games by removing those drawings from your gallery that showed your true colors.

that is REMIXING, not stealing and I have NO objection to remixing if it is done with the intent to make art over art or with art.

I think you are Larvice. Whoever you are I would prefer to not have contact. Nothing to argue about, I just feel you and I are off to a bad start and i really want to drop this subject of stealing and copying. It has caused an uproar here and I am very sorry for that.
