What an artwork! it's actually brilliant. you know it's the thing that I'm always talking about; the skill of transferring the image from the mind on a canvas with right colors... few people have it! thanks.

I don't know that there are things slowing Sketchfu down. What I do know is people are leaving because they are frustrated about a number of things. Matt and Andrew are conspicuous by their absence and maybe if they checked in more often they would be able to sort things out before problems escalated. The last time we heard from Andrew was three months ago and from Matt was FIVE MONTHS ago.

thanks for taking my request for advice seriously! I could see what you meant about the eye as soon as I read it. However, on the photo they are out of line and look OK. I must have had my head tilted somehow . . . I think I'll just bring the eyes into line for the drawing.

let me set the facts straight.

I AM FOR REMIXING.
REMIXING IS AWESOME COOL GREAT AOK!

I am AGAINST people taking a brand new drawing that i just did, that has not been seen because it had not been posted very long and it shows up UNREMIXED and unchanged in somebody elses gallery.

that is what I object to. I agree, they are not going to sell it,
I agree it was probably some lil kid who did not know better and will cry when they come back to their gallery. Well they didnt worry about the artists feelings when they took a brand new drawing. I worked over 5 hours , long hard killing my eyes hours on that drawing. I consider it to be my work.

Remixed it is no longer my work, that is FINE. Remixed it is no longer my work. I am cool with remixing.

Yes it says over the draw whose draw it really is. but perhaps I am just a raving egocentric egomaniac who would like people to see OTHER works ion my gallery!!! Once a picture has been viewed, very few will surf over to MY gallery then If they were already IN my gallery then perhaps it would be easy to look at the rest of my stuff. That is what this is about FOR ME. I cannot speak for anyone else here. Those are my reasons. I want my work seen and i want it voted on. See Larvices profile for my reasons why.

Maybe you have a job and alife. Righ tnow i don't. i will freely admit that THIS is my life at the moment.I am here, i am trying out different art styles to get feedback in prep for offline work in the real world., I take this stuff DEADLY seriously. I see what I do here as leading to my future. So yes, i understand COMPLETELY where you two are coming form but I am in a different place. it might be dumb stupid or pathetic and i agree it is probably all 3, but it is a FACT. so that is where i am coming from.

I've put a lot of thought into it, and I know what my parents say may happen, but I also know that a lot of my stuff I either don't consider actual art, or it's a drawing of a movie scene or of one of my favorite bands that I probably wouldn't/couldn't sell. I have very few drawings I think would actually be stolen (at this point in time).
If I ever get to be more well known, I may take some of my stuff off of sketchfu, and copyright something, but as of now, I like having the commentary from you and my other friends on sketchfu. =]

P.S. I used to live in Seattle. 1993-1999. I will return. Love the PNW. Not really sure why I returned to LA. Have you ever heard Hole's song "Olympia?" One of my favorite's.

I'm fascinated by your recent test drawings - How do you do them? they are identical to the original but with a different pen width/colour. It looks as if you traced them but they are too perfect - I'm dumbfounded. Please explain.

You know, a lot of the time I think all of these people are taking Sketchfu WAY too seriously. I'm just messing around with my drawings, and that includes the titles. A lot of people read way too much into all of this. It's just for fun, which is why I like it. I can just sketch or whatever, have fun with it, and share it with other people.

And I really appreciate the comment about sending positive energy, I hope that is something I manage to do, because I think it is important to first tell the truth, next stay objective (look at the art in terms of experience) and finally give a heaping load of credit whenever you can,I believe it helps in some small way! Come on over for pie and coffee... Here's a little secret. Weather in Chicago has gotten milder and milder. It used to be brutal - I remember the prolonged days of double digit below zero wind chill factors. But no more. Now the worst thing we have tolerate are th gray days. However, we're a hearty stock and find the seasons invigorating. And Chicago is a magnificently beautiful big city. Come and see for yourself!

I've noticed that if I hit all three cheers in quick succession it accepts all three but only reloads once. I use Safari so I'm not sure if that's just a peculiarity of the Mac.

Thanks for the lovely comments. i am always surprised somehow when ppl say nice things about how i am, cuz that is just literally how I am. here or real life. i love people and love to make people happy. I like to be happy so when i can do it for another there is great joy in that. It might be selfish. but it is not for the thanks, cuz I dont care about being thanked. I care that someone got a warm and fuzzy feeling or that they felt their art was really valid and god and appreciated. I spend too much time commenting. i would like to draw more. bu ti have been teaching for 18 yrs and it is just a habit to go and say nice stuff about the art of others *L* Well, your comment warmed MY heart big time!!
