got a graphix tablet (it beats a laptop mouse)

style: pseudo-realism; true all around but I'm green to drawing from a computer, which adds to this.

Opacity: press < and > (in some keyboards , and .)
Color picker: press e on the canvas, and you'll get the color from that spot.
Drop down palette: p
Undo: z
Redo: y (avoid this, it might cause a bug when replaying the drawing)
Bigger/smaller brush size: [ and ] (in my keyboard ´ and å)
Zoom: Click mouse right and 'zoom in'

I'm glad you like it :) It's pure pencil work, I used the softest pencil I have (9B, or 7B dont quiet remember) to get the very dark areas.. I used charcoal only in "Bruse Willis" drawing.. the vanished line was sneaky ha? :D lol .. the linework somwtimes kill the 3D effect or the realistic look, beacuse I learnt in real life there'r no lines defining faces or things.
Thanks for looking there and for your nice words :))

Hey nuggets, bingo, you got the prize. Ya it was Christina, I know the eyes and mouth are a little off, but I thought a slight resemblance is there. Kind of a strange pose she had and that is what drew me to the pic, and with the pose being strange it was kind of hard to put it on the screen the way I could on paper, eraser in hand lol. It kind of makes it harder to do the screen drawing because to fix areas you don't like is harder to do and I just get lazy, and don't tweek the areas I should to make them "perfect". But it is nice to see that someone else saw the possibility of it being her! Thanks for your cheers and comments, where you been hiding?

You can buy a mouse for the laptop, its wireless and not too expensive, though man its still tough to draw with a mouse anyway :S If you draw all these drawings by a touchpad, then hats off to you!
Big thanks to you for the cheers!! :)

So Rising Stars is available in comic form only? Man, it's been a long time since I've stepped foot into a comic book store...way way back when manga was only available in comic stores...and way back before I met cable internet, and found the plethora of free manga available for download(probably illegally) online...

Oh and I loved watching the x-men cartoon when I was a kid...that's why I like Heroes so much - the nostalgia! Do they seriously deny that Heroes has no x-men influence? When Peter Petrelli is basically Rogue, but without the whole "sucks the life out of you with her bare touch" thing? And um, the whole mutated gene thing? Unless they're claiming those things are basic to a genre or something 0_o. I don't know what Rising Stars is, but now I think I should look into it : )

Lol, killer of geriatrics? That would have been a much funnier (I have no idea about the disturbing-level) picture! Why didn't I think of that? The assassin could have all sorts of geriatric-specific assassination tools (like ones targeting type II diabetes, ones that aim for easily shattered hipbones...) Now I'll have to revisit that one someday XD XD XD! P.S. Thanks for all the cheers and comments!

I am not sure, but I do believe that there are mouses for laptops, I could be wrong, but I think someone else here on the site mentioned having got one for their laptop. It can't be too expensive, seeing as keyboards and mouse combinations can be had for a song, so I would imagine that a mouse who stands alone would be reasonable. I know that it must be really hard working on one, I have a friend who has one he uses for work and I tried just surfing the net with it and my fingertips got sore! SO I see where there is a problem. But trust me, working with a mouse isn't easy either, it is a strain on the hand wrist and forearm after awhile. I know your pics would improve 100%.

Choose a brush and color. Then, press the < button several times. It should become more transparent. You can press > to make it more opaque. (You may need to use shift plus the key). If it doesn't work, try going through the "add friends" button... maybe you need to unlock it.
1918underwood wrote (about 1 year ago)
Use < and > to adjust opacity.

not to scapegoat, but all i have is a laptop and i find it hard to control lines while drawing with my index finger... if anyone has any advice how to avoid this and improve, it'd be taken with open ears.
thanks,
dan
