if you want lines you left click where you want to start(don't move it) then you right click then put the arow where you want to end then right click, you got lines :)
Hey Larry, I'm fine thank you, yes actually it's really slow here, too slow that everybody left. honestly its becoming dead here, but you know its good to doodle and do stuff when your bored or so. About your art aside from the internet, how about you upload them on deviantart, just a suggestion, or anywhere. I've been doing some drawings on ratemydrawings, remember the site I told you about, its kinda more alive there and the drawing tools there are good! and sure, we'd stay in touch thanks for the email.. thats for now I guess, take care man peace
Hi Dad, thank you for your comment. I think I am kinda getting the hang of the tools here. That's not to say that I am where I want to be with my art, but it is a start. Does Lin have a gallery here too? You know my mother has given me all the things you drew for her. I have always liked your style and it's nice to be able to continue seeing it. So thank you.
hi hon. thank you so much for the kind words. and you are right, there is a higher power, i truly believe that, and there are no answers. we just have to take comfort in the thoughts that this is what is meant to be. i know there is a plan for each and every one of us. last night was the viewing and this morning is another short viewing and then the burial. gabbie is really a mess. all the young people there last night, so so sad. it sure isn't going to be the same around here without her popping in and out. once again, gabbie and i both thank you for your kind words.
ciao Larvice thanks for cheering u Know, when I draw, swinging heart, I did not thing about a myster, but maybe the myster is I'm in love, but I do not know in which one.have a nice day
larvice, who is this sick person? i got the same message on my profile. i could say alot more but i don't want to waste valuable time or energy on such pathectic people.
Strep throat got me with my immunities down from last week's upper respiratory crud....got some anitbiotics today so I should be feeling better in a couple of days.
Keep those colors flowin' & thanks for the cheers and comments!
Thank you Larvice and of course it is completely and totally accepted and very very much appreciated!
*grinning a little* Well, now that we found 2 subjects you and I need to stay away from, I hope in the future we can find many more that we DO agree on and be can friends.
I also enjoy knowing you are here and as you know am a HUGE fan of your art, heck, I even said I wanted to Be you! *S*
Hey Larvice, I've followed your work for a good long while now and always have been a fan. Such diverse styles! Anyway, over 3000 cheers, good on ya! Well deserved, I say.
I am a bit distressed to see gerbear and you having heated exchanges, you're both such good people! Peace-loving or I don't know a thing. Both strong personalities though :) Anyway good luck there, I'm sure cool heads will prevail.
Take care and keep on drawing. Always pleasant to see something new, with you I never know what to expect.
Also why have cheering and comments and views if NO ones work is that important. Because when you accuse MY work of not being that important i can assume you mean EVERYONES work and not just my own.
Why have galleries and cheers Larry if all belongs to everyone?
I would really like to hear a clear and concise answer to that.
The answer is...people want their art to be just that, their art.
People want feedback and they want votes. And anyone who says they don;t care what anyone thinks of their art has no reason to be drawing online then and exposing so others CAN have an opinion. Why not just draw OFFline? I am here for exposure, social networking and to get an idea of what works in my various styles of art and what does not so that I can decide what direction to take offline. This is like a free market survey of my work. So do i care if the votes on my drawings stay on my drawings..you betcha I do. I will freely admit that. i need to know what people think. All kinds of people and all ages, not just other artists.
I do not think this makes me a bad person or whining because i happen to think that my work is important. Because guess what, to ME it is important. I don't say good or bad in quality, I am saying important because MY time and focus and energy was spent on it. And I feel THOSe things are important. so if you think I am some kind of egotistical madperson here, sorry, I am not.
Before you can categorically state that no one else cares, I would suggest that you get the FACTS straight please. Perhaps reading this petition that Andrew participated in and finding and reading the comments my my last two drawings and finding and cking out the names on the many petitions (the ones i had nothing to do with) that have been circulating for months here, you might have a clearer picture of exactly how many people DO care. That is if you are interested in FACTS.
You are entitled to your opinion.
We are not discussing remixing here.
Had you bothered to read any of what had been said you would have seen i am not discussing remixing.
I have no problem with somebody taking a drawing and changing it.
I understand that is part of what this site is about.
My issue is with people copying someone elses art and NOT changing it.
I know that you don't like me Larry since our lil Ron Paul disagreement, it would seem we have little in comman which is to bad.
But I didnt personally attack you about Ron Paul the way you have personally attacked me on my profile.
There are many people who feel as i do. Have you not seen the many petitions about this very issue going around? Not started by me BTW. Also a discussion held, which Matt and Andrew did participate in that had 65 comments about this VERY subject.
Why even have individual galleries then at all?
Why not just have one big pile of pictures belonging TO EVERYONE all the TIME.
If NO ones work is that IMPORTANT, your words, then why "glorify" it with a gallery? People can just come and draw and thats that. If ya see one ya like, you won't have to worry about nabbing it cuz they are all together. One big happy fu family.
I am not in the minority here. you are getting back at me for Ron Paul, I would have expected more from you. that was a nasty message you left me and a personal attack.
hey larvice...i see FU was sick for a few days. hopefully he is feeling better. some of us go thru "FU WITHDRAWAL" LOL......i guess i should speak for myself....lol.....oh .... and i love the new pic of the puter on your profile!!
If you really are interested in him, I will try to get you some inside scoop or stories from my niece just for fun. He truly has been accessible to the population of Lake Jackson. Her mom just had surgery and my niece will be staying with me for a while so I will ask her if she knows anything cool. *S*
Larvice...I was having a very bad night and I am afraid that RP received the brunt of my wrath when it should have been directed towards the person who caused it. If you care to repost I will not go near it. Girl Scouts Honor.
Larry thanks so much for the comments! and cheers nice to hear from you once in a while! lol, btw, Ron Paul is the man! we need more like him, someone who stands for the constitution and doesn't want to see it disappear! all the other candidates are sellouts if you ask me. all talk no show. again thanks :D terry
larvice, thanks for the comment! and your profile info is right on. i hate the snow and the cold but then it gets too freaking hot and i bitch. go figure. no happy medium i guess......lol i am heading out right now to shovel the sidewalks. ;O
Larvice!! When is your birthday? We are like just days apart! I will be 58 also. I think you told me the date of yours and I am a couple of days older. Of course. *L* But I would like to make you a card, so let me know when and WE can raise a cyber toast too, or you can join Lisa and I on Saturday *L*
birthday in a couple days? isn't that strange, gerry and i share the 12th. just another day. the weather here in PA is strange, one day it is in the teens and yesterday and today the 60's...back to freezing in a few days. go figure. i hibernate too. lol that gets old too. lol... anyway, have a happy birthday!!
Merry Christmas larvice! I want to tell you again how much I really love your avatar. I just lost my Dad in July & this photo of you & your Grandfather has such a wonderful 'family unit' feel to it. That special bond I had with my Dad is never lost, either, thanks to special memories & special 'Kodak' moments. Enjoy your holidays & some well deserved R & R after your recent move!! L8*
Hi Larvice! Thanks for looking at my new pic! Loved the comment! Hope you have a great holiday! I apologize for being behind in viewing... I will get back up to date ASAP! Merry Christmas!
Hi Larvice Thanks for your cheers and comments and for the link of your pictures , i like the heli it was cool, regarding to what you said about my h20 car so can i only say that is tragic that you can buy water for more money then the gas costs. =)
Hi Larry, Great work on the collage, lol, I just came here to see how my new icon would look on my friends' pages and noticed yours was done in Photoshop too - Best wishes -
Hi larvice! Thanks for the very nice comment! I am fairly new here. I love this website, the variety of artists... tastes, techniques. I study peoples work, sometimes probably with too much intensity, but it has helpe me to grow as an artist. I would like to add you as a new friend and hope you will add me as well. Your avatar is incredible and your art is also... I hope to see more in the future and will probably learn tons from you!
That is quite a wonderful, self portrait avatar you made, larvice. I enjoyed seeing it. I am currently taking a Pototshop class. My big problem now is wanting to upgrade..$$$. :) Thanks for sharing your work.
That is an awesome icon you made, photoshop i assume? I hate to shop, even online. i like to give gifts as they might show up during the year, not be forced to by a certain day. So I know what you mean. From the surgery i am so far behind too. And all i can handle is sitting in SF and pretending that none of this is really happening *L*
That is a great quote and correct. As a drawing teacher i am pretty adamant about people learning to draw before attempting any other type of art. It is the basis of ALL of the visual arts 2D 3D even interior design, jewelry making..all of it. The basics are true across all disciplines. As far as Vincent is concerned, in the book Drawing on the Right side of the Brain there is a draw he did as a student of a figure. It is DREADFUL, totally and unintentionally wrong, I show this to my students so they can understand that the greats began where they did, at the beginning. My hardest job as an art teacher is to convince adults that one is not always born an artist one has to work at it and learn. The kids don't have that issue, they just follow directions and have a ball. Thanks for saying I am a good not rule follower *L* I did about 2 hours research last night aobut Drawing from memory, most people cannot but it is a learnable skill. An Israeli artist named Agam is running a very interesting program with 3-4 yrs olds to teach them visual memory. It has been adopted in France and another country too. I do need to develop mine more I admit!
Thanks for that GREAT comment! I think you are kind of like me, from seeing your work, and you vibrate to color like I do. Glad you had a good Thanksgiving, mine was super, my son was home! :)
Your 'special moment' family picture of you and your grandfather, in your avatar is priceless. Have you painted it for yourself? Even though nothing compares to that great photo, what a nice painting it would make hanging in your new home!
Gez, I answered on my profile instead, thats how we did it YouDraw so the convos were in the same place. I'll repost here.

Your parents made the smarter move!! I do have lots of family out there in Cali tho and used to go there quite often.
If you ever get a chance you can look Judy up. My one claim to fame as an artist is having done 2 projects with her "The Birth Project" and "Resolutions", one which I co-own a small piece of. They just built a special wing at the Brooklyn Museum of art to house her "Dinner Party" project which she did about 30 years ago. The ones I did were after that. There is a pic of me on her site still I think, but an old picture and hard to find *L*
Nooooooooooo!!!!!!! I am older than you! *L*
uh...
1/12/50!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't have many grey hairs because I am/was a natural redhead, but the red has faded leaving strawberry blondish brownish reddish depending on the light *L*
I enjoy the online art sites because i don't know nearly as many artists as I would like. Are you from California? That is...have you ever heard of Judy Chicago?
That is serious heaven Larry. i am crammed into a small spare bedroom here in Houston. I ran a costume jewelry business out of here for 10 yrs and it worked fine but jewelry is small and canvases and sculptures are large! The room is also full of the old jewelry supplies (ever need some beads..just hollar!) and samples from 8 years of teaching the kids, plus the attendant art books, and lesson plans, folders of ideas, etc. ad naseum. I had decided that THIS was the year i quit teaching and get a REAL studio and get serious about my art. Looks like it might not happen this soon. But i am doing a HUGE HUGE installation project soonwith 8 yrs of plastic items and plastic junk I have collected off of Galveston beach. Yup, every weekend out there picking up plastic trash and then cleaning, sorting and storing it until I have a studio to do the installation in!! I am running out of room to store the plastic! It is in Galveston and in Houston too! I have many ideas sketched for how I will proceed but I need a place. Oh well, maybe my photo retouch work I am doing now will get busy and I can earn the money to rent in 2008.
I wish you the VERY VERY best!! Just don't desert us completely! You can be my mentor of sorts, proof that someone of "our" certain age CAN actually start a new life. *G* Ok so we are not THAT old yet...sorta *L*
Comments for larvice
btw.. i dont know any of your fav. bands xD
