"did she say that? ^_^ it's beautifully done and the face is off because you don't have everything at the same angle. particularly the mouth. it should be more and higher toward the left. try that and it'll look way better. =)"
i am a bundle of contradictions. i'm a girl but i don't wear pink. i'm a thin layer
of reality in a solid world that knows what it's on about. i'm a farmer yet i shop at
wal-mart for the self-same things i grow and remove from the ground. i like castles.
and fishies. and i really enjoy a nice pair of slacks. where was i? i live in
montana where i raise horses and play blackjack with my buddies who all enjoy a
nice boys' nite out away from the wives and children- though of course, nothing
could be more important to us than our families and we would all, i'm sure, die for
them if so called upon in a manner which was inescapable. i find myself to be
one of the only people in the world who likes Paris Hilton. i watch the news for their
superior commercials and dream of one day flyin' round the world in an airplane.
bingo!it is sarah! by de way,ur right bout pink,i mean,WHO said girls gotta like PINK?

I have quite a basic model, a 4X5 inch Wacom Graphire 4. It's served me well but I'm looking at upgrading, now that I'm doing a lot more work in Photoshop. The one I have isn't the same shape as my screen, which means that the pen movements I make don't directly translate from the tablet to the program I'm using. Still, it's a good introductory model - it's fairly cheap and does enough to get you by. What I'm looking at now is an Wacom Intuos, A6 size and shaped like a widescreen. It has more accurate positioning and pressure sensitivity (1024 bit instead of 512 bit) and it's also tilt and rotation sensictive which means your marks can be more calligraphic. Their website is here: http://www.wacom.com/index2.cfm Wacom are the industry standard, and they're the brand all the professionals seem to use, so I'd go for one of theirs if you thinking of buying one. :)
Hey, thanks for the comments :) Yeah, the tablet makes life MUCH easier. I've tried painting with a mouse before but you just don't have the same control. It really shines when doing photoshop painting, though, as the pen is pressure sensitive and allows me to control parameters like opacity and line thickness by the wieght that I put on it. I liked your pencil drawing BTW :)
