September 11 may not have been the end of your world but it was the end for 4 in my world and it needs to be respected. If you are pissed off about a tribute to it, that is your right and your business, but I don't have to look at it and I won't. I'm not asking you to stop drawing insulting and hurtful things such as you did...I'm simply asking not to see them. I can view your art from a distance, the pieces that don't hurt me... and don't you EVER think, for one second, that my thinking on that subject is short cut or short sighted. I assure you I live with it everyday and for the rest of my life.

I most likely wont in a while (cant affors to)(thatswhy I just draw pics by hand sometimes, sort of like yours) but I strongly recommend YOU give it a shot! I can SO see some punk walking around in one of those felt-jackets with "glue stinks like old memories" on it.

Brad Pitt is just a subject, not a representation of anything, other than the chance to do a picture, I don't take my art as seriously as do you, my art is for enjoyment, not a political statement. While some people use art as a platform to speak their political views, I on the other hand do not. You read too much into my art. I could've drawn the old lady down the street, doesn't make it anymore or less valueable. Brad Pitt is not my statement of beauty, just a relection of what I see, I have done wretched, but what is the point? I choose to do subjects that interest me, not because I hate the world, or like cliches no matter how much you paint, realistically, the art doesn't remove things of hate and violence, that's just a futile thought process, art doesn't effect people into change, it is just a reflection of the world they see, and what they feel. Honestly what does art that "shocks" do to change the world? Nothing. Same as art that is beauty, it does nothing...people and how they relate to one another is what changes the world. I guess I am just not as cynical about people as you are...enjoy things for what they worth, or lull about in degregation, it's a free world. Life is what you choose. Again, all I am saying I don't understand your words, you say you do it to escape and yet, it is the very things you draw, that you are trying to escape from...doesn't make sense to me is all...But, again I am not criticizing your work, I made a statement that I don't understand your art and what you are trying to achieve. If it helps you, then great. I think you are talented, never said anything else I just don't understand it though. Simple, didn't mean for this to turn into a war about values of art...friends - mon ami, pardon moi, pardonnez mon ignorace s'il vous plait. :-)

Wow, I can't believe it a cheer! thank you. I have to admit, I liked some of your early work, but I have to say I don't understand it. It is too graphic for my tastes, I think the world sucks on it's own, and I see it mirrored too much in your work. It seems angry. I may be wrong, which I usually am, lol, in my interpretation of your work. Maybe I am an ostrich with his head in the sand perhaps, but art for me is more about the celebration of the beauty in life rather than the stuff that makes it suck. Life already has too much death, destruction, and war, and hatred. So, again I am probably not clearly seeing what your art is all about, but, I do admire your impressionistic talents. I guess it boils down to the saying we have here, different strokes for different folks. Thanks again, and don't take my words wrong, you are a gifted artist, I just don't always understand it. My shortcommings, lol.

Sometimes I don't understand where you are going or what it is about, but somehow in a cosmic sort of way, it makes sense so its all good. I understand what you mean about not recreating something that already exists; I think for me, its more about a personal challenge to see if I can and how close I can get with the few tools available on SF; and I'm not out to win any money or valuable prizes and I have fun so it fulfills my own purpose. As for your art, I think you definitely have a unique style and sense, and I think its very cool...very fresh. Keep up the good job!!!
