I'm just now reading comments left on my profile, and I noticed a comment that you had left for me about 3 months ago....I haven't been here at sketchfu for quite awhile, and then when I came back for awhile, I didn't see any recent drawings from you.....I haven't been drawing here for a long time....I haven't been in the rught "frame of mind" to be able to draw anything. I haven't seen you here in a long time....and when I checked on your profile....I see that others have said that you don't draw here anymore.....that you are now drawing at another website..2Draw... I really miss you here....I just came back here a couple days ago...and I still haven't drawn anything yet. Thank you for your comments. Classy? I am not sure about that. I have never had a problem with letting my feelings be known but I do have regard for peoples feelings and accept their views as much as my own. Agreed that some of the talent on 'the dark side' is magnificent but still, no need for some of the attitudes. Enough said, it's said and out of my system. I shall stick to the friendlier sites. Fu is lovely in its simplicity and the community feeling here is wonderful. I see you draw at FG, I comment there, nothing else.

Ooops. I have to apologise for starting some discussion on your 2draw work. I am going to delete my comments. I went there just to view the work of all my friends but have constantly seen negativity from a few, rather immature 'artists' there. I could sit quiet no longer.
Most people I know have already left to join another site. We love it here at Fu and at other, more friendly sites but 2draw is a place that I will not be visiting again. Keep up your great work. Don't be a stranger to Fu. Good health and happiness to you and yours. Regards, G.

I read you are defecting to the "Dark Side" I signed up about a week ago. Not done any draws as of today. My husband is giving me a nudge to do it. Says " You must do something new" LOL

I don't plan on leaving any time soon, but, I did go ahead and join 2draw to keep some works away from FUT's. I don't run into as much lag here as some since the majority of my draws aren't that large and are usually done late night when there isn't as much traffic.

I still don't feel that comfortable with the tools at 2draw. Maybe I'll feel different if I ever get a tablet.

Anyway, enjoy your day and please do keep in touch. I still have your addy and you are welcome to drop me a line anytime. If you need me to resend my addy, just give a holler before your defection....lol.

Hey aakyra! Yes, I have trying the applets at 2draw and have posted a few drawings there but the reviewers are not so friendly. This site has been very slow for me lately and almost impossible to pull anything up to see. I am getting a new computer soon and hope to resolve some of my sketchfu problems with the new computer, hopefully. I do miss the friends here but 2 draw has more features and the pics are a bit more realistic. Take care for now and I promise to visit often. Thanks

Hi aakyra, actually, I don't paint....my daughter is after me all the time to start. I think I'm a bit intimidated. It's so easy to fix mistakes here & I just keep thinking I'd mess up anything I might try to paint. Perhaps someday I will start. My daughter bought supplies for me & I've yet to give it a try.

Oh...and btw, Fay Wray was the tiny lady that sat 'pretty' in King Kong's hand. I think you might just know who she is afterall ;-)

Hi Aakyra, thanks for the over-abundance of cheers and encouragement...I'm really just learning how important getting the angle exactly right is. I had much rather just know how everything goes and toss things together like, say, cmb, but have to just do what I can do and that reminds me that I'm a little behind in viewing your work because I do get a bit jealous but will be happily going thru there soon! hi again aakyra....speaking of losing a WIP.....i just realized that my husband closed the pic that i had worked on ALL NIGHT LONG!!!! I minimized it, so daughter could do something on puter, and so i could get some sleep, and i just realized that it was gone. i'm really sad :( i honest worked all night long on that..was a self portrait i decided to do to work on doing faces..whose face do i know the best!! haha! i don't think i want to do that all over again. man.....

about the west texas scene i drew that you commented on...that is actually a place just outside town that i pass by several times a week.....a few people on here would draw a pretty scene and say, that is where i live, so i decided to also...it was funny to see what peopel said about how flat it was...but, ha ha, it's really that flat...it was my second drawing on here and i hadn't yet learned about the fading and other tools, so it's not blended well, but it really looks like the place i drew it after!! thanks again! :)

thanks for taking the time to look at my drawings..a couple of them are drawn by my 14 year old daughter..she likes drawing too and does well, i think..i've had a lot of fun since i've been coming here and the people here are wonderfully friendly. some i know from inklink and others, like yourself, i've just come to know here and ya'll have been very kind and friendly...this is so nice to come to...makes me hurry and come on each nite to see what has been left for me and what else i have to go look at...it's really fun...thanks again for the kind compliments! :)

The "FU Fambly" seems to be breaking up and I understand why some of our friends are going to 2Draw and other sites ... the problems here are sometimes REALLY FRUSTRATING! FU is my comfort zone, though, and I find 2Draw very intimidating and not really "warm and fuzzy," like FUville. But, to each his own :) I'll just follow everyone around to their favorite sites so I can stay in touch and enjoy their art. You're a dear, dear soul and I'm so glad I met you!

Hi Jill, thanks for browsing my gallery. Yes I did showcase there with my doggy pic. It is a bit of a challenge there, the people are not quite as gracious there as here, but they are warming up. It does help to have a few others from here that draw there too. I didn't want to leave here but it got to be such a pain at times loosing drawings having pages freeze, not being able to log on at times and a multitude of other issues that I am sure that you have experienced at one time or another. I had been here for 8 months and it just seems as though the designers of the site started it and then just forgot us. It could be a really fantastic place but by now it should be offering more things than it does. At 2draw it gives one a chance to "grow" and I felt as though I had got to a stand still. But I still enjoy stopping by to say hi and see what people are up to. You have been doing some amazing work here lately, you should be proud. I think though as your talent grows you may feel the same way as I did. If ever you want, please stop by 2draw and give it a whirl. I am going to do a tutorial if I find the time and post it at flickr that way it may make the transition a bit easier for those who don't have a lot of experience with more complicated applets. I was a member there for 6months before I got brave enough to even try the programs there. But once I got the hang of it, I know that I can't come back here permanently. It is limiting here. I have to always have change and challange. I guess I am a junkie for art that way, lol, I am already looking to see what else there is to offer with more complicated programs. It is fun working and playing with them, now that I have gotten bit by the bug. I miss you guys though. You can join like I did and browse and make comments and learn your way around. You don't have to draw, just like here there are people who join just to appreciate the art, and make friends. Hi Jill - So you ask about artistic goals ..- Got to think about that one.. I guess it would have to depend on weather I could start a buissness online in some type of high end graphic arts venue or perhaps doing some illustrations in comic book format or in a professionl arena of design..
Don't really know how I would approach establishing a solid goal in art.. I love painting with aryclics and occsionally oils - I love doing ink work designs in mixed media with water colors - I also love building models - a child hood hobby that has carried over since those wistful days of
innocense... But I do know the clock is ticking.. I'm 9 years away from reaching the half century mark and need to come up with something soon... lol
