Are you at your sister's house. I think I do need a vacation. I am always thinking ocean. It is the only vacations I pretty much want. We used to go every year to Wild Dunes Beach and racket club near Charleston South Carolina. It was wonderful. A quiet beach, in a gated community. Condo inside the gate too. LOVED IT!
Hey there Artist...I have family in Ohio. Hamilton, Troy, and my mom in Piqua. Going to go soon. Thanks for the cheer and comment. I like Ohio folks. I have lived in Cincy, Hamilton, Oxford, Middletown, and Felicity. Not for any long periods of time, but my Mom and Dad moved to Troy many years ago. The three youngest siblings were still at home, so they married and had families there. My VERY CLOSE TO MY HEART SISTER,lives in Hamilton. Miss her.:( Hugs to you :)
Thanks for the comments on my three draws. Did you mean to cheer? :D Once you said you forget to after you comment. Glad to know where you have been. Pretty slow around here.
Me either...weird. I even drew at Floating Ginkgo. It is wonderful to be back here. I missed everyone and could't tell them. Busy and creative me? I had two draws go into the SF black cyber hole. Said enough!!!!! Loved seeing that sketchfu mail come into my inbox. :)
I love going to your page. Your horse picture just makes me feel all AWWWW so beautiful and well done. Thanks for the support on my art. Your comments are meaningful. A red headed boy with green eyes Lovely. How old is he?
Your horse pics are incrediable. I did not see this one on your website last night. Yes I view it. The reason I wanted to know if you did the Mare and foal, is I wanted to draw it. Would not want to draw your originol. I probaly like this one most.I have to think about it, to know for sure. Thanks for all the cheers and comments.
Phew, finally getting caught up on my messages :) In answer to your question: Yeah, if you're on someone's Friends list, they'll automatically get a notice that you have a new drawing, and likewise, if they're on your list.
Trish, I AM impressed ... what a wonderful painting! Anyone who doesn't think animals are capable of emotion should observe a mare and her foal, or a cow and her calf ... there's real affection and love there! You showed that in your lovely picture. One of the most wrenching things I ever heard was when we lived in the country, surrounded by cattle farms, and one day we heard them separating the cows from the calves, I assume to be taken to market ... the crying and bellowing were heartbreaking. I can't believe I still eat beef after that! Anyway, when I see the cows grazing and the calves cavorting, I hope they're at least happy in their brief lives ... they deserve it! You were asking why I'm not drawing more? I am, but over at Floating Gingko :) They had a challenge to draw the musicians who most influenced you over the years, and I went crazy and drew 10 pics in a week ... the tools there take a bit of getting used to (especially after sketchfu), but really encourage creativity :) Now I'm a bit "drawn out" :P
Now this is weird!!! I rewrote what i said before because the website shut down on me and I thought i had lost the commentary i left on your profile... Sorry about the double commentary - I'm not to sure what happened.. We'll at least you get a double dose of compliments... LOL :)
I just visited your website and i came back with one solid comment of it; 'Beautiful work' and I must also say it serves as an inspiration to set up my own website sometime soon. I see that you like using inks - that happens to be my favorite medium to use, however, I despise using pencils... lol :))) Youo really have great work and I wanted to thank you for sharing it with me... Looking forward to seeing more new art from you... :)))
WoW...!!! Your website was inspiring to say the least. I see you do alot of ink work - I also do ink work and is my favorite medium to use but i despise using pencils. I must say after visiting your website I'm going to have to rethink about setting up my own website soon - thanks for sharing your art with me - i'll be back soon to check on your new stuff... :))
I just wanted to say hello - I just got back at looking at your gallery and wanted to say that you absolutely have great art work... :))) keep up the good work - it was a pleasure commenting and cheering.. take care..
Hi Trish! How are you? FU has been on the blink so long I was actually shocked to see it up and running today ... trying to get caught up on my viewing and commenting :) Glad you like my FU Bear ;D
Hi Patricia! I just tried to view your gallery and it took a full 10 minutes to load a pic, cheer and comment. I just can't do that... I was so happy to have found you and I think your art is beautiful! I hope you will join me and some of the others at 2 draw. I jusyt can keep up with the lag on this site! Stay in touch!
Hi Patricia! I got the email and the painting is gorgeous! I just finished a pic at 2 draw.net of a whire Arabian. I spend a huge amount of time here trying to view and comment. The lag is driving me crazy. I am lucky to see two galleries a day! Come and check out my first pic!
Oh, about the "Share this drawing" option above the thumbnail pics? I've never used that particular email option, so I'm not the one to ask about that. I'll bet Ween would know, though!
Hi, Trish! Boy, the Lag Monster is in fine form today ... :P Anyway, as I understand it, you were asking how to email your FU pics? What I do is after I publish a draw, I download it and then right click with my mouse and Save to My Pictures file; then when I send someone an email and want to add one of my draws, I just load it like any other attachment and off it goes. Or did I misunderstand your question (I do that a lot!)? I am just about the least tech savvy person you will ever meet on the internet, and that's no lie!
Your web site is what I would have expected .... charming! And your work is wonderful. Do you prefer Pat, Patty or Patricia? Otherwise you'll get stuck with a nickname here ... everyone does! You'll be called TA, Art, Artist or something similar unless you state otherwise ;) I go by Meno.
Hi- have a second hand wacom tablet and pen- always used to draw by mouse but then I got carpal tumnnel syndrome in both wrists which caused a lot of pain, numbness, had to have both wrists operated on so got the wacom to help...
Hi Artist! As per your question, I use a mouse. We're partial to community draws here, so if something like the Flower draw comes up, feel free to add to it! I only added the hibiscus to that draw :)
Hi! I would love to hear your thoughts! jill.jjj@gmail.com. Deviant has a feature where you can set up a storefront and sell pics and prints. It is a very energetic site with tons of features. I haven't begun to tap into the options and extras... toooo little time! I look forward to hearing from you! Thanks!
Hi! I just viewed your website and I love your horses! Every picture is gorgeous! Good for you!!!! My goal is to work in retirement or sooner as an equine artist. I have always had a passion for horses, never owned one... just drew them since I was a very yound child. I have a site at deviant art where an I posted an unfinished pencil peice... my first serious work in years. My name there is also Aakyra and Aakyra is the titled peice. She is an Arabian mare. Unfortunately my free time is eratic and I can't work as much as I would like. Have you had any success with your web site? Have you considered Deviant art as a vehicle? Let me know if you could. I've added you as a friend and am thrilled to have found you! There is a great audience for horses here, So I hope you have fun! Thanks for the nice comment... the drawing was a quick one!
i have just been browsing through your gallery. I am impressed at the rate you are learning to use this program!.Each draw is measurably better than the last!.Keep it up :D
