Hi Rogier! So nice to hear from you and visa versa! I thought I would stop by and do a draw or two for old times sake and see how everyone is doing. You have come such a long way with your art, I knew you could do it! It is so nice to see you do drawings that are complex with color, I always loved your cartoons, but knew there was a fine artist lurking inside just waiting to come out, and boy did he! You are doing marvelous works! I really wish you would come join us at Floating Ginkgo.com. It would be a little unnerving at first, but once you learn the programs, you will love it there. You are so talented and I know, your talent can flourish and grow there. The programs offer so much more for technique and will open possibilities, that you never even knew existed, I know that you would do some amazing work! Everyone who has come and joined us are all learning, and growing. I know you wouldn't be sorry. Everyone is very kind and helpful there too. Please come join us...I hope life has been good for you, and the little one must be growing...I hope that her health is good, and that you are enjoying every moment! I miss your friendship, and really think you should come join us...PLEASE, PLEASE, you won't be sorry...sending hugs to you and your wonderful family, starz/terry
YW Rogier. I so appreciate you adding to my comment about the great news. I have had cancer once, and believe me, it is scarey. I did a natural treatment in Mexico. The Hoxey Treatment. It was a success. Every waking moment there is fear in your heart and mind. To me that was the worst of it. I recieved early treatment. I did end up having surgery and the Dr's were amazed at what they found. Traditional medicine and Alternitive do not mix well as you know. I have wanted to meet you, so your kind comment opened the door. :) The blonde joke is a good one! LOL
Hi Roiger!
Sorry I haven't been commenting lately, been super busy!
Just to let you know, I love all your drawings, so don't feel bad if I don't comment!
“Eerie” means that it inspires an inadvertent dread or uneasiness...a step away from fear. “Eerie” suggests a mysterious, even unpleasant, aura. What I meant was that it had that sort of uneasy feeling to it, although it still seemed very tranquil. I was remarking on the vast emotions your drawing induced. Fantastic work, Rogier!
I've been extremely busy also, I've got a lot of readings to get done, and it's just lovely how incidentally I'm plagued by a series of migraines. I had some time to myself today, so I took the liberty of doodling a little bit. :)
I'm very glad Sanne is doing so well. I love dealing with kids. If you ever need an international babysitter, give me a shout! :P
My year was just fine. It was just extremely hectic and different for me...so I put drawing out of the way and pushed Sketchfu to the back of my mind. I am in university right now, and it was hard last year to deal with that, family, my boyfriend...hahah. Everything's fine, but I had to get used to a much busier lifestyle. I also had problems with my computer I had about 7 or 8 viruses in the span of three months. I had to rescue files, clean them, reformat, etc...put that together with worries over midterms, exams, assignments, projects, readings, case studies, and other work...it was just insane. But this year will hopefully be a bit better for me. I missed quick sketching. Sometimes perfectionism gets in the way of improving skill. You improve detail, but not your actual skill.
Again, I'm really glad you're still here. And I look forward to confusing sketchfu-ers with our collaborations!
Hi!! :) Of course I'm up for it!
I've been doing a lot of things; life's been tough. But I'm back - sort of. Until Sketchfu's lag drives me insane and my mind implodes and creates a black hole. :P
Let's hope it gets better, but I'm not sure it will. Until then...ask away! In fact, I'll start. How's your daughter? This time last year she had a brace for her head that was supposed to stay on for six months. How is she doing now? :)
Thanks so much. I really enjoyed looking at all your pics last night. I am glad to add you to my friend list. I really enjoy having all the wonderful artists on here on my list so that I can really have a better chance of seeing their new work right away! Thanks again! :)
Hey Rogier, how have you been? I see that you have almost exclusively gone to color and pictures! great! so happy to see you flourishing in your art! Now I just have to convince you to come to the other draw sites where I know you will knock everyone's socks off! Just go to my profile page and click on a link. I mostly draw at floating ginkgo.com but I pop in and out of the other sites as well. I have been a bit busy lately, haven't had much draw time, but as things settle down I will be doing more!
Hope things are good with you and the family, hope your daughter is doing well. She must be walking and talking a bit by now, no doubt. Miss your humor and friendship, take care, sending my love and hugs your way and to your family! terry
