Here, "mandatory" classes are never exactly mandatory, "prerequisites" you can just skip over and go to higher levels if you argue enough, and "requirements" can always be bent. The modo of our schools is you get whatever you want if you whine enough, threaten to sue, or have rich parents. xD

Ahhh. Well, thats' different. We have a certain amount of every subject we need to complete during our years of high school- 4 years of gym (takes up one of 8 periods in teh school day), 3 years of science, 4 years of english (i think), 3 or 4 years of math, 2 years of language, and 2-3 years of history. the rest of our periods there are each year two half year courses (you can get out of them if you have a good counselor) and then you can fill up the rest of your schedule with whatever you want to.

Freshman as well ^_^
I have one full year art class which is my 45 minute period of heaven every weekday- otherwise the workload is tremendous. x.x

No, sadly, no tablet yet...i've found i can draw straight lines when my computer gets so slow it doesn't register curved lines, though xD

I study art, yes, started this autumn. I use a lot of reference pics and sketches, but I also manage without them. they sometimes can kinda 'block' some creativity, if you get too stuck in them.. if you know what I mean. :)
