Hi "Add_It_Up"....I want to thank you very much for the nice comments on twoo of my draws. I'm glad you love horses....I love them also....there are quite a few people here at sketchfu who love horses!! I love the picture of that big "draft" horse, and the adorable little "miniature" horse in your "avatar"!! I think you'll really enjoy being here at "sketchfu"!!
Hi 504! I see Dude left a few notes for you! Your comments are so wonderful and personal! I loved your new word! That was really a fun comment! Thanks for telling me a little about you! Owning a horse is a dream I have yet to fulfil... I think drawing horses has been something I have done since I was a very small child. I have a love for horses that is boundless. I am envious that you have a horse but I will settle to live vicariouslythrough the sdventures you choose to share with me. I have made a commitment to live my life draem by painting and drawing horses... since I can't own my own... hahaha I didn't mean to make a pun. My first encounter with a thoroughbred was a near miss os a nasty bite on the shoulder... shortly after I was settled in an English saddle (first time) and the horse jerked the reins out of my hands and took off at a gallop down a steep hill, totally avoiding the bridle path. I held on for dear life and a handsome young man on a black horse bedecked in the most beautiful saddle, bridle and studded breast ornament charged to my rescue. I felt like a stupid princess, but vowed I would learn to ride. Many years of patience and money earned put my last ride in a practice ring. I was so proud to have mastered the simplest control. Nravo to you for your equestrian accomplishments and you have reignited my desire to draw another horse! Please share more with me about your mare! Thanks so much for the cheers and comments! I am thrilled to have you as a new friend!
sure...you can edit your own or anybody else's drawings....that's one of the features of this site! Just open it up and start drawing on it again. You will have to publish it again when you are finished, and both versions will show up in your gallery unless you delete one of them. Of course, when you delete one, it only becomes unavailable to everyone else but you. You can still see it and edit it and even re-publish it again if you want to. Hope this helps.
Hi! Thanks for the comment on my "best time for fishing" drawing. You asked about how to create the "watercolor effect". Actually, since this was originally drawn by Rogier, you should really ask him about it. I just added the fishing pier. I now that you can make colors semi-transparent by pressing the "." key repeatedly, and you can make them opaque again by pressing the "," key in the same way. Welcome to sketchfu...and remember to HAVE FUN! :)
The water color tool (opacity) is < and > or , and .
To change your brush sizes its [ and ] color pallet is "p" z is for undo and y is for redo(Don't use the "y" it has a glitch) Thought this might help!
They also have a straight line tool but I don't know how to explain that.
