eye placement. It is exactly halfway down the skull, halfway between the top of the head and the chin. Then separate that section into 3 for the nose and mouth. take a line coming off the outer corner of both eyes and where they meet is the nose tip. Also, the back of the head is very substantial. Tha tis a comman mistake and one even experienced artists have to watch out for. in a profile the back of the head sticks way out, but also in a 3/4 view it is larger than you have here, not a lot, but some. You have drawn so many pretty ladies who were very well proportioned at YD, that I think it is really more the back of the head issue here. You had eye placement down to a tee at YD. I only dispense this free advise (you KNOW I am teasing you) so that I can soon see a bevy of beauties flowing from your talented fingers!! You really did some wonderful faces at YD and so selfishly, I want more! *hug*
Thank you very much. No, not a self...I'm a (natural) blonde (hehe). I just watch how the the great artists here make drawing portraits so easy...but it's not! ;-P The time listed seems so little, it seemed like just this took HOURS! haha! I need to learn shading & eye placement. Thank you Meno, vanessa & jagannath for the encouragement & support. Very much appreciated. ;-D
