Apparently a Russian sociologist (maybe historian? I'm not too sure) established that cave art was always found in those caves that had also housed the earliest instrument in human history - a form of a flute. (35,000+ years old). This means that visual arts and music were viewed as the arts since the stone age!

Great drawing, Christine! Everyone is right, it does look authentic!

its based on a photo of the cave at Lascaux, just added an extra cow at aurox at the bottom because I couldnt tell what was there on the original...

CMB, this is wonderful. I saw paintings just like this in caves in either Spain or Majorca once many many years ago. I still have a postcard of them hidden away somewhere. You have recreated this early form of art and story telling so well.
